City Center Dental Care is excited to announce Dr. Aaron Hayes has joined our dental team! Dr. Hayes earned his undergraduate B.S. degree from Grand Canyon University, AZ, and his dental degree from The University of Southern California. Since being commissioned in the U.S. Air Force in 2008, he has also earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology, received numerous awards and honors, and completed two dental residency programs. In addition to working in our office one day a week, he currently works as the Deputy Director for the Advanced Education General Dentistry program for dental residents at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. He looks forward to using his God-given talents and calm demeanor to comprehensively treat patients utilizing a variety of smile restoring procedures. We proudly welcome Dr. Hayes, his wife and four children to our community– and to City Center Dental Care!
USC Dental Student of the Year by the Pierre Fauchard Dental Academy
Dr. Aaron J. Hayes earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Canyon University. It was here that he met his lovely wife Brooke and they were married in 2002. He attended dental school at the University of Southern California and was recognized as the USC Dental Student of the Year by the Pierre Fauchard Dental Academy.
After graduating from USC, Dr. Hayes commissioned in the USAF and attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the US Air Force Academy. He utilized the advanced training for nearly 4 years at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY and earned many awards culminating in the honor of Clinical Dentist of the Year in 2011 from Air Force Global Strike Command. With the desire to develop a more specialized skill set in all fields of dentistry, Dr. Hayes was selected to attend the AEGD- 2 year residency at Keesler AFB, MS. Upon completion of this demanding program Dr. Hayes earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology, which provided him additional skills to comprehensively treat patients in IV sedation, oral surgery, periodontal surgery, complex molar root canals, implant placement and restoration. Over the last 2 years Dr. Hayes served as the Deputy Director for the AEGD-1 Dental Residency program at Joint Base Langley-Eustis.
Dr. Hayes has had an accomplished Air Force career, but he and his family fell in love with the Hampton Roads community. He is looking forward to using his God-given talent and calm demeanor to comprehensively treat patients on the Peninsula utilizing a variety of smile restoring procedures. Aaron and Brooke have four bright and active children that they love spending time with. Dr. Hayes enjoys home improvement projects with Brooke and playing flag football with Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church where he and his family are members.
