For best results, your teeth should be professionally cleaned before whitening to remove plaque and tartar. If you choose in-office Boost, schedule your cleaning at least 24 hours prior to treatment to reduce sensitivity. -
Fillings and Crowns Don’t Whiten
Whitening brightens natural enamel only. If you have crowns or fillings on front teeth, they may need to be replaced after whitening to match your new shade. -
Mild Sensitivity is Normal
Some patients experience temporary sensitivity, which fades quickly. Both the Boost and Take-Home formulas include ingredients that protect enamel and reduce discomfort. -
Results Last, But Not Forever

In-Office Whitening
If you prefer immediate results, Opalescence Boost delivers a dramatically whiter smile in about two hours. During your visit, your gums are protected with a barrier, and the concentrated hydrogen peroxide gel is applied up to three times for 20 minutes each.
